Luke Phillip Davis was born at 10:05 June 3, 2008 weighing in at 8 lbs 6 oz, and 20 inches long. All fingers and toes accounted for. Select

Whew! All Done!
Well, it took a little longer than we planned, but what's 3 weeks of manual labor among friends? Anyway, the vineyard is in, and the vines are doing very well overall, with many of them already out of their vine shelters climbing the stakes. Exciting!
A very heartfelt thanks to everybody for your help (with a special thanks to Kristy and Dad, who were particular gluttons for horticultural punishment)!

Vineyard Planting Day Event - Saturday May 2nd!
Hi, everybody!
As most of you know, we’re busy making preparations to plant a vineyard this spring!
Though preparations and planning have been going on for some time, the big day to actually plant the vines will be Saturday, May 2nd. We’ll be working to get about 1000 vines into the ground that day, so it will definitely be a big job.
With that in mind, we’ll be having a planting day event for all of our friends and family who want to come out and get their hands dirty with us that day. Breakfast will be served at 7:00 am, with planting starting around 7:30 am, and continuing until all the plants are in the ground. We’ll also be serving BBQ for lunch and refreshments will be available throughout the day.
All you need to do is show up in your “grungie” work clothes, and we’ll supply all of the tools, training, and food!
Please RSVP as soon as you can to let us know if you can make it so that we know how many hands to expect. If you are planning to attend, please include your t-shirt size with your RSVP.
Looking forward to seeing everyone on Saturday, the 2nd – and hope that it doesn’t rain!!

New Baby = New Bunk Beds
With Tyler's arrival, we've started implementing a plan to make more room by shuffling office/playroom/bedroom space. Happily, for the two older boys this means they are now the proud owners of a new set of bunk beds! Exciting!

Extended Davis family ready to work farm
So Jill and I went to get THE ultrasound on January 11,2008.
As you can see in my second slide above, there is sufficient evidence to conclude that our second child will also be a possible heir to the throne.
AKA: a boy
June 8 is still the projected due date. Since our doctor generally schedules C-sections on Tuesdays, we will likely plan on having the yet unnamed 'him' on June 3.
I may update this with other info as it becomes available. Stay with News Davis, we'll keep you advised.

In the Dark!
It's a clean sweep this week, with the 2007 ice storm knocking out power to all 4 Davis homes in Oklahoma City (Kristina), Norman (Kasey's family), and McLoud (Kerry's family and Mom/Dad). We may be in the dark for a while, along with 500,000 other Oklahomans - reports are saying it may take a week to 10 days to restore everything. Sure is pretty, though. The picture above is a view from our backyard today.
